Rose Gold French Manicure

Hi girls!

Today I did a really simple manicure - a rose gold french manicure!
I was inspired by this manicure by Arelis P at nailsbyarelisp on Instagram.

I started off with the semi-sheer pale nude nail polish that is Essie Adore-A-Ball. With two easy coats it looked like this:

Afterwards I freehanded on the rose gold tips using Essie Penny Talk. You can also check out Arelis' video on how to make the manicure here.

I really love both the polish Adore-A-Ball and this manicure! It is so simple, but sooo pretty!

Mix and Match

Hello ladies!

Today I made some nail art for you guys! It is mix and match manicure with oversized patterns inspired by this manicure by Sarah at Chalkboard Nails.

For the leopard nails I started off with a tan nude base. Afterwards I used a big dotting tool to dot on some random dots and shapes with a brown nail polish. Lastly I used a smaller dotting tool and a black nail polish to partly frame the random shapes with little, black c-shapes.

For the striped nails I started off with a white base of OPI Alpine Snow. When that was completely dry I added some regular tape cut out in small strips, and painted over them with Essie Licorice. Afterwards I removed the tape to reveal the base colour, that was left untouched underneath.

I LOVE this manicure! It is just so awesome!

Jazz it up some more!

Hey guys!

Remember me trying to jazz it up last time?
Well, I felt like doing it again over my current manicure - Essie In the Cab-Ana. So I added a layer of Essie Jazzy Jubilant to jazz things up again, so to speak.

Essie Jazzy Jubilant is just such a versatile glitter, as it contains both red, green, blue, purple, silver, and gold hexagon-shaped glitters in various sizes. It sounds overwhelming, but the polish is actually one of the more subdued multicoloured glitters I have seen.
You can also check out my review on Jazzy Jubilant here.

I just love this glitter! It is so versatile and it looks good over pretty much any base colour!

Essie In the Cab-Ana

Hello ladies!

Today I received a new nail polish in the mail, and of course I had to try it on right away!
The nail polish is Essie In the Cab-Ana which is the name-sake of the Essie Resort 2013 Collection.
In the Cab-Ana is a bright blue creme polish with teal undertones to it.

The formula was amazing - nice and smooth to apply. It only needed two easy coats, so the opacity was great as well!

I cannot get enough blues in my collection, and this one is a nice addition! I love the colour!

Jazz it up!

Hey guys!

So I felt like adding some sparkle to my current manicure - OPI Funky Dunkey. That is why I added a coat of Essie Jazzy Jubilant to jazz things up.

I love how pretty and festive this turned out! The two polishes work great together!

OPI Funky Dunkey

Hi girls!

Today I swatched the perfect purple polish - OPI Funky Dunkey!
Funky Dunkey is a rich purple creme nail polish from the OPI Shrek Forever After Collection of spring 2010.

The formula was good - a little on the thin side, but opaque, nevertheless, in two coats. Furthermore it is fast-drying to a shiny finish and it has a great wear-time!

I love this shade of purple - so rich and beautiful!

Easter Manicure #4

Hello ladies!

So today I had time to make some more easter nail art for you guys - an 'easter-eggs-in-the-grass'-manicure!

I started off with a light blue base of Essie Borrowed & Blue from earlier today. Afterwards I freehanded on some small easter eggs using a small nail art brush and the following polishes: Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (blue), Essie Lovie Dovie (pink) and Ciaté Big Yellow Taxi (yellow). Using the same nail art brush and the same polishes, I "decorated" the easter eggs with small dots and stripes. Lastly I used a nail art striper and the dark green nail polish Essie Going Incognito to paint on the grass around the easter eggs. And that is it!

I love this easter manicure - it is so cute and pretty! It looks a little like a colourful french manicure!

Essie Borrowed & Blue

Hey guys!

Today I tried on Essie Borrowed & Blue - one of my newest nail polishes.
Borrowed & Blue is a light (almost off-white) pastel blue from Essie's Bridal 2011 Collection.

The formula was great - two easy coats and you are good to go! I was really surprised with the quality of this nail polish as most off-white colours are very difficult to work with.
The dry-time was amazing as well!

I really like this nail polish - perfect for spring and summer (and weddings of course).

Easter Manicure #3

Hello ladies!

Today I made yet another easter manicure for you guys - a bunny ears manicure!

I started off with a light pink base of Essie Fiji on all of my nails. Afterwards I used a small nail art brush, Essie Fiji and the white nail polish OPI Alpine Snow to freehand on the bunny ears on my two accent nails.
This is a really simple design that even nail art beginners can do!

I really love this manicure! I think it is so cute, funny and pretty.

Easter Manicure #2

Hi girls!

Today I made some more easter nail art for you guys - an easter egg manicure.

I started off with a base of Etude House BL601 and L'Oréal Confettis to make my nails look like Robin's eggs. Afterwards I outlined my nails with a black nail polish and a small nail art brush in the shape of an egg - pretty easy really.

This manicure is not as easter-y as I'd hoped it would be, but I really like it anyway.
Can you guys see it is Robin's eggs? What do you girls think about this nail art? Is it easter-y enough?

Ruffian with silver and green

Hey guys!

Today I made another manicure for the Danish nail polish brand By K. using no. 68 Moon Dust from their Imperial Collection and no. 64 First Class from their AW13 Collection.

I started off with a silver base of By K. Moon Dust. Afterwards I painted on two coats of By K. First Class a little higher up the nail, but in the same shape so you leave that little moon shape at the cuticle area. It is a really easy design, and it is so classy and pretty at the same time!

I love this ruffian manicure - I think it is so pretty!

Essie Hide & Go Chic

Hello ladies!

Today I am wearing a new polish of mine - Essie Hide & Go Chic.
Hide & Go Chic is a beautiful azure blue creme nail polish.

The formula was amazing - it went on like butter! It needed two easy coats to be opaque, so the opacity was great as well.
Hide & Go Chic is the name-sake of Essie's Spring 2014 Collection of which I have four of the six shades - it is such a beautiful collection!

I really love this nail polish - such a perfect blue!

Baby Shower

Hello ladies!

Tomorrow I am going to a family get-together for my new-born niece, so today I made some nail art to match the occasion.

I started off with a pink base of OPI Chic from Ears to Tail on all my nails except for my two accent nails, which I painted white with OPI Alpine Snow. Afterwards I freehanded and doodled some baby stuff (tiny feet, a rattle, a pacifier and so on) on my two accent nails using my Pink Barry M Nail Art Pen. Lastly I added some glitter to my nails (except for my two accent nails) using OPI Minnie Style.
It is pretty simple when you break it down!

I think this manicure turned out pretty darn cute! Perfect for the occasion!

Easter Manicure #1

Hi girls!

Today I made some quick easter nail art - a cute and simple baby chick manicure.

I started off with a yellow base of Ciaté Big Yellow Taxi on all of my nails. Afterwards I followed this tutorial by Elizabeth at Did My Nails, using Maybelline Coral Craze for the orange beaks and feet.

This manicure is so easy to do and really cute and pretty at the same time - I love it.

Essie Lady Godiva

Hey guys!

Today I am wearing my favorite brown nail polish - Essie Lady Godiva.
Lady Godiva is a dark chocolate brown creme polish.

The formula was great - really creamy and nice to apply. I needed two coats for it to be opaque, so the opacity was good too. Wear time was perfect - three days and not a single scratch.

I really enjoy wearing this colour! It totally looks like melted chocolate on your nails - delicious ;)

My very first jelly sandwich

Hi girls!

Today I made my first ever jelly sandwich for the Danish nail polish brand By K.

I started off with a red jelly polish base of By K. The Sky is the Limit. Afterwards I painted on a layer of the holographic glitter By K. Super Nova. Lastly I finished the jelly sandwich by adding another layer of By K. The Sky is the Limit.
Both the polishes are from the By K. Imperial Collection. You can check out my review on the collection here.

It turned out way more discrete than I thought it would, but I think it is really pretty anyway.
What do you girls think? Did I do an okay job at this jelly sandwich manicure?
